Life Recorder
Far from the Hype, french DJ/Producer Kriss Life Recorder is now approaching 20 years on the
scene making himself a reputation and building his own craft. Since his first steps in the electronic
cosmos in the early 90’s, he quickly found his main influences into Detroit Techno and Chicago’s
House music and mostly into the deep and soulful side of it with love for the music of Juan Atkins,
Robert Hood and Ron Trent. Releasing his own 1st tracks in 2006 and working on his music, things got moreserious in 2012 after his strong and acclaimed release “No Look Back” on Detroit imprint AestheticAudio puting some light on his deep house/techno output giving him a new momentum and birth tonew releases on labels like Bokhari, Argumento, Grounded In Humanity, or Sound Reflection in Chicago.
Although he has been recognized for his productions the past few years, Kriss is firstly a skilled DJ
with a real ability to mix together deep house and techno atmospheres and hit the dancefloors in
many ways. He had chance to show it with gigs accross europe and and middle east locations with stops at Tresor Berlin, Jane Fitz’s Night Moves party in London, Belgrade, Tel Aviv, or recently at Mtkvarze in Tbilisi. In the meantime he is a more regular on Marseille’s local scene alsoworking with collective and record shop Extend & Play.
Always moving forward and finding his own audience, Life Recorder keeps flying over where his
music takes him. In 2017 he gives birth to his own label Life Notes Recordings and to a new alias,
Motion Process to focus on a little more mental side of his sound.
