کمپانی Moog یک سینتیسایزر آنالوگِ مونوفونیک به نام Sirin به بازار عرضه می کند.
این محصول که تنها به تعداد محدود ۲۵۰۰ عدد تولید میشود، از منبع صدای Taurus Bass (یک سینتیسایزر bass که با پدال عمل میکند و تولید آن به اواسط دهه ۷۰ میلادی بر میگردد) ساخته شده است. اما Sirin برخلاف Taurus Bass میتواند بازه ی اُکتاو متداول در یک سینتیسازرِ معمولی را پوشش دهد.
دو oscillator یا نوسانگری که شکل موج مربعی و اَرّه ای را پشتیبانی میکنند، از یک فیلترِ نردبانیِ چهار مرحله ایِ کلاسیک Moog عبور میکنند که بعداً صدا با یک جفت ADSR envelope و یک LFO که دارای چندین شکل موج مانند sample & hold، ramp و saw میباشند، تغییر شکل داده میشود. Sirin میتواند ۱۲۸ حالت پیش فرض یا preset را در خود ذخیره کند و Moog میگوید که “قابلیت های گسترده پنهانی” در این سینتیسایزر جاسازی شده است.
آخرین محصول Moog تا قبل از Sirin، اولین پُلی سینتِ پرچمدارِ کمپانی در ۳ دهه گذشته یعنی Moog One بود که کمپانی در هزینه برای تولیدِ آن دریغ نکرد.
سینتیسایزرِ Sirin هم اکنون با قیمت ۵۴۴ یورو قابل تهیه میباشد.

Moog is releasing a monophonic analogue synthesiser called Sirin.

The limited edition piece is built from the sound source behind the Taurus Bass, a pedal-operated bass synth originally built back in the mid-’70s. Unlike the actual Taurus Bass, the Sirin can cover the usual octave range of a regular synthesiser.

The two oscillators, which carry square and saw waveforms and also support hard sync, pass through a classic Moog four-pole ladder filter with the sound shaped later by a pair of ADSR envelopes and a LFO, which holds multiple waveshapes such as sample & hold, ramp and saw. Sirin can store 128 presets and Moog says there is “extensive hidden functionality” embedded in the synth.

It’s available now for €544.

Moog’s last new product was the no-expense-spared Moog One, their first new flagship polysynth in three decades.
