جدیدترین ورژن بِتا از نرم افزار rekordbox متعلق به کمپانی Pioneer DJ، به نکته ای پرداخته است که مدت ها منتظر آن بودیم یعنی آنالیز مبتنی بر cloud برای rekordbox. این اولین چیزی است که ما از تمامیِ چیزهایی که مبتنی بر کلاود است انتظار داریم که با انجام آنالیز شروع و احتمالاً به ذخیره آنها ختم میشود و در نهایت قابل دسترسی از طریق CDJ خواهد بود.
در حال حاضر ورژن 5.4.4 به واقع چیزی را ارائه میدهد که Pioneer DJ آنرا “track analysis sharing” نامیده است، آپشنی که کاربران اساساً در ورژن کاملِ 5.4.4 برای آپلود کردنِ فایل های مرجعِ آنالیز شده خود به مرکز داده های Pioneer DJ، در اختیار خواهند داشت. به این ترتیب اگر شما همان تِرک را در rekordbox خود بارگذاری کنید، Pioneer DJ از فایل مرجعِ ذخیره شده بر روی کلاود به عنوان آنالیز استفاده خواهد کرد و دیگر لازم نیست تا کامپیوتر شما توسط این وظیفه درگیر شود. اگر تِرکی که شما بر روی rekordbox بارگذاری کرده اید با هیچ مشخصاتِ فعلی بر روی Pioneer DJ مطابقت نداشته باشد، این قابلیت، آنالیزِ مرجع را بر روی سرویس خود آپلود میکند که شامل beatgrid و metadata (اما نه cue point ها) میباشد.
اما سوالی که پیش می آید اینست که چگونه این سرویس را خاموش کنیم؟ که Pioneer DJ در جواب میگوید فعلاً هیچ آپشنی برای غیر فعال کردن آن در ورژنِ بِتا وجود ندارد. همچنین هنوز مشخص نیست که گزینه “confirming” یا تایید وجود داشته باشد که این ورژنِ Pioneer DJ در واقع درست است یا خیر. جالب توجه است که در توضیحاتِ مربوط به ریلیزِ نسخه 5.4.4 گفته شده است که این یک عملیاتی است که بخشی از طرح اشتراک کاربران در آینده خواهد بود.
در حال حاضر به نظر میرسد که با پا به عرصه گذاشتنِ DJing بوسیله cloud، فعلاً سوالات در این عرصه بیشتر از پاسخ ها ظاهر میشوند.

Pioneer DJ’s latest rekordbox beta hints at what we’ve long suspected is coming – cloud-based analyses for rekordbox. It’s the first of what we’re expecting to be a roll out of all things cloud-based, starting with analysis and likely ending up in storage, accessed eventually from the CDJ itself.

For now, version 5.4.4 simply offers what Pioneer DJ are calling “track analysis sharing” – essentially an option users will have in the full version of 5.4.4 to upload their analysed reference files to Pioneer DJ’s central hub. From there, if you load the same track into your own rekordbox, Pioneer DJ will use the cloud-stored reference file as analysis, rather than taxing your own computer with the task.

If the track you’ve loaded into rekordbox doesn’t match any of Pioneer DJ’s current “fingerprints”, it will upload the analysis reference – which includes beatgrid and metadata, but not cue points – to their service.

The first question on the Pioneer DJ website is – of course – how do you turn it off, to which they’ve replied there’s currently “no option” to disable it in the beta. It’s also not clear if you have the option of ‘confirming’ that Pioneer DJ’s version is actually correct. And so it begins – as cloud DJing continues to be drip-fed into existence, for now, it still raises more questions than answers.
